Bring the festival vibes to the studio! This workshop is for the older makers who want to design their own "merch" and dive into the world of textile art. We’re moving beyond the basics to explore intricate binding, beadwork, and collaborative installation.
We start the session at the Merch Station, where everyone will design and create Custom Fabric Patches and Beaded Pendant Necklaces. Using glass beads, wooden elements, and embroidery details, these functional pieces of art are designed to be worn straight away.
The main event is our High-Vibe Tie-Dye Workshop. Using professional-grade dyes and shibori-inspired binding techniques, children will transform a Tote Bag or Wall Hanging into a masterpiece of colour and pattern. They’ll learn how different folds and resists create unique "explosions" of design on fabric.
Throughout the session, we’ll be working on a massive, Experimental Paper Chain. This isn’t your average school chain—we’re using painted scraps, braided yarn, and cardboard rings to see if we can link the entire studio from corner to corner. It’s a visual representation of our collective "party spirit" and a high-energy way to wrap up the day.
