Do you have what it takes to be a master of the elements? In the "Wizard’s Workshop," we move beyond the wand to explore the ancient art of alchemy and earth-magic. This session is designed for curious minds who love to experiment with hidden messages, foraged treasures, and tactile materials.
Our young wizards begin by mastering the art of Invisible Ink. Using secret "elixirs," they’ll draft hidden spells and reveal them through watercolour washes to create their own Enchanted Spell Book.
The heart of the session is the creation of a Relic Dragon Egg. Using professional air-dry clay, children will learn hand-building techniques to sculpt a large-scale egg, texturing the surface with "dragon-skin" tools and embedding it with shimmering "moonstones" and crystals.
Throughout the session, the magic grows through two collective tasks:
The Dragon’s Hoard: We’ll work together to build a massive Loose-Parts Mandala on the studio floor. Using river stones, glass pebbles, and dried wattle, kids will contribute to a giant, shimmering "hoard" that grows around the dragon's heart.
The Specimen Library: As we work with nature, the children will help curate our Library of Ingredients. By sorting foraged "Crunchy Spells" (leaves) and "Dust of the Stars" (biodegradable glitter) into specimen jars, we’ll create a beautiful alchemist’s backdrop for our final gallery walk.
