Bring the festival spirit to the studio! Designed for older makers who want to design their own "merch," this workshop dives into the world of textile art. We move beyond the basics to explore intricate binding, beadwork, and collaborative installation.
The Creative Journey
The Merch Station: Design and create Custom Fabric Patches and Beaded Pendant Necklaces. Using glass beads, wood, and embroidery, these functional pieces of art are ready to wear straight away.
The Main Event: A High-Vibe Tie-Dye Workshop. Using professional dyes and shibori-inspired binding, students transform a Tote Bag or Wall Hanging into a masterpiece of colour and pattern.
Textile Skills: Learn how different folds and resists create unique "explosions" of design on fabric.
The Grand Finale: The Never-Ending Chain
We wrap up by contributing to a massive, Experimental Paper Chain. Using painted scraps, braided yarn, and cardboard rings, we’ll attempt to link the entire studio from corner to corner—a high-energy visual of our collective "party spirit."
